The Lubricant Low-down

• We recommend glycerin free lubricant for all vaginal play. Glycerin is often used in common lubricants, which is fine for the body externally, but internally can disturb natural PH levels.
• Never use oil based lubricants. Oil is hard for the body to flush out, and can build up and damage internal flora, leading to infections and discomfort. It may seem like a good idea, but don’t use cooking oils! Our bodies don’t like these and neither do condoms. Stick to a good quality, personal lubricant from Max.
• For nice, body friendly lubes, make sure the ingredients list is free from parabens, oils, and sugars. All these things are not good for internal play.
• Not sure whether to choose silicone or water based lubricant? Water based is great for all over body and toy play. It’s the most popular go-to. Silicone lubricant is not compatible with silicone toys, but can be used body on body and even in water. Silicone is longer lasting and very, very slippery.
