Do you love or need to bind your chest but hate the straps, compression and restriction it puts on your body? Do you have a hard time breathing while binding? Are you nervous someone will see the shape of your binder under your shirt and then they will "know"? Do you miss participating in normal activity, exercising, going to the gym or swimming?

Designed with you in mind, Binding Tape is breathable material that will leave you feeling free and confident in your own body. Binding Tape is waterproof and sweat proof meaning it can be worn in the shower, the pool, and even in the ocean!

Simply apply the tape to your sternum, cover your breast tissue and adhere the tape to under your armpit for a chest masculinization that will have you loving your body.

Binding Tape does not compress the body, lungs or organs. It is intended for multiple day use. It is safe to sleep in and does not restrict breathing.

Please read the following for instructions on how to use safely:

Taping:

  • Prep skin: Warm shower with a neutral soap on the area being taped. Oils will degrade the adhesive, so no oil based lotions. Skin should be free of oils, deodorant, or moisturisers. Trim hair over shaving it. Can use a rubbing alcohol to clean the skin before taping.

  • Protect Nipples and Areola: Using a square of facial tissue folded, gauze, or a large bandaid.

  • Applying tape:

    • First, make a handle by peeling back an inch or so of the backing paper and folding the sticky side onto itself, leaving you with a strip of tape that you can hold onto without getting your fingers stuck.

    • First strip: Push chest tissue down and back towards your armpit or torso, slowly laying two inches of tape down, rubbing so the tape adheres to the skin. As you continue to lay the tape down be careful to line up your chest tissue to fit under the tape. Laying the tape flat and without wrinkles is important for skin health and hygiene.

    • Second Strip: If necessary, use a second strip to flatten any tissue not captured by the first strip. Using the same process as the first strip, overlap the tape to create a seamless flattening.

    • Repeat the process on the other side of your chest.

    • Important: Do not overstretch the tape, it is already stretched on the backing paper so you don’t need to add more tension. Pay attention to your body: if there is any pain, start again. You should be able to breathe and move properly and comfortably. Your skin should not feel stretched, just held in place.

  • Removal: As the tape begins to peel at the sides, usually after 3-5 days, you should remove the tape. In order to protect the skin from irritation or blistering, rub the tape with oil (jojoba is nicest on the skin, but any neutral oil is fine). Let the oil sit on the tape for 5-10 minutes, then start removing the tape. This can be done in a warm shower, carrying on with your usual shower routine, by the time you’re ready to get out you can start slowly removing the tape.

Safety:

  • Before binding try a small test strip on clean skin on your chest (24-48 hours). This is to assure you aren’t allergic to the adhesive (rare but important).

  • Do note tape for more than 5 days.

  • NEVER use tape other than kinesiology tape (or body binding specific tapes). Duct tape will be damaging to the skin and can be really dangerous, and Ace bandages are designed to continue restricting while on the body (not good for breathing).

Care:

Using coconut oil afterwards on your skin can help replenish the area. Make sure to remove all oil before applying new tape.

Try and give yourself dedicated periods during the week when you won’t be wearing tape (eg two nights a week sleeping without tape). Make sure during this time you have oiled the skin with coconut oil to help rejuvenate the skin and avoid damage to skin and tissue.
